Gutkha Stains on Celebrities… Is there any end to this episode?

The uproar over Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar’s appearances in a new tobacco commercial isn’t going away soon.
Following Akshay Kumar’s public apologies and Ajay Devgn’s defense of his “personal decision” of featuring in a cigarette brand’s elaichi product ad, a West Bengal IAS official has slammed SRK, Ajay, and Amitabh Bachchan.
IAS officer Awanish Sharan tweeted a photo of one of the pillars of the renowned Howrah Bridge on Twitter. According to the Kolkata Port Trust, in a tweet, he claimed, “The historic 70-year-old bridge is being corroded by saliva laced with gutkha. Gutkha-chewers are attacking the Howrah Bridge.”
