After Covid-19 Pandemic slowly Normalcy is restoring across the globe, and Telugu audiences are glad to watch some entertaining movies on the Big Screens. Sure, the Love Story will stand out from the new releases with director Sekhar Kammula’s maker’s mark. Sekhar has an enormous fan base from the class audience and has already promised this movie would be different from his previous projects. Moreover, the movie’s album, which had already been released, has become the favourite playlist among the youth. No doubt Saranga Dariya is one of the songs that got the most extensive views on YouTube built desperation to watch Sai Pallavi performance for this song on the silver screen, which did not disappoint. So without further ado, let’s jump into the review.
This story is about the Revanth (Naga Chaithanya), who hailed from the lower-caste village native runs a Zumba Fitness Center in the city. Due to cramped living conditions from childhood, he aims to succeed in his business. However, in his journey, he met Mounika, alias Mouni (Sai Pallavi), who comes to the city to secure an IT job where she fails to get one and ends up as Revanth’s trainer partner. Later, Naga Chaithanya knows they both were from the same village, and Mouni is Narasimham’s (Local landlord) niece. Mouni hates and is scared of Narasimham, and the story revolves around how Revanth’s help her overcome that fear.
Naga Chaithanya tried Telangana accent for the first time in his filmy career, which is not up to the mark. However, we could see Naga Chaithanya’s significant improvement in his dance performance gave equal competition to Sai Pallavi’s moment. On the other hand, Rajeev Kanakala has issued a moderate version as a villain, and we may see him in negative roles in future films. We see Uttej in a character of a local cop who tried to help the love duo, was performed a decent performance.
-> Sai Pallavi’s performance
-> Lag in the Second Half
-> Hasty Ending
-> Not a new Story
Sekhar touched on the love story of a couple from extreme socio backgrounds. The hero is from a lower caste, and the heroine is from an upper caste, which is a familiar story but has much scope to elaborate the contemporary issues. But, unfortunately, it seems he failed to project in the way he could do. In conclusion, ‘Love Story’ does not reach the benchmark of the movie lists who delivered a cult-like Leader or a classic like Fidaa, not even close.
